The Bible tells us that Jesus died for sinners. Who is a sinner? Romans 3:23 tells us “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”. Romans 3:10 says “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”. So from God’s word, we are all sinners.
We must realize that we are all sinners before God and that we cannot save ourselves from the eternal punishment of Hell. Romans 6:23 tells us “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” And Hebrews 9:27 says: “As it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”.
Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for our sin by His death on the cross at Calvary Hill. In Romans 5:8, the Bible tells us “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” We must personally accept His death on the cross as payment for our sins. Romans 10:13 states “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” And John 1:12 tells us “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”
Are you ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior? Will you accept God’s way of salvation? The choice is yours. God’s word is clear, one day our mortal bodies will die and we will stand before God at the judgment. If we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, we will live eternally in Heaven. If we have not accepted Him as our Savior, then we will be cast into hell for all eternity.
So, don’t wait too long. Only God knows when your time on earth is over. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior today by praying this prayer from your heart:
“Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
